About me

With a foundation in education from Sheridan College, where I earned an Honours Bachelor of Illustration, my journey in art & design has been vibrant and diverse.

Out of school I began as an assistant manager at a Toronto art supply store, I immersed myself in the world of art supplies and stationery. In turn, nurturing my love for the materials that bring my art to life.

My favourite mediums are watercolours, fountain pens and ink, acrylic gouache and printmaking.

My artistic process involves a tra-digital technique. Beginning by painting traditionally which I then scan and enhance digitally to add final details and highlights. This fusion creates a unique blend of texture and depth in my work.

I also enjoy crafting my own ink colours from foraged natural materials, inspired by the history and significance of colours, the natural world around me as well as the book “Make Ink” by Jason Logan . As a devoted lover of art supplies, plants, animals, and colour I find endless inspiration in these subjects, weaving them into my projects whenever possible.

My approach & my mediums of choice

Forget-me-nots are often used as a symbol of true love, devotion and constancy during times of separation or loss.

I chose this flower for my logo because I love what these flowers represent, the shade of blue they are, the lilac of the new buds before bloom, as well as the way they group together in beautiful bouquets in marshy areas.

For me this flower is unforgettable and brings me joy whenever I see it.

Why the forget-me-not for my logo?

Mysotis - is a genus of flowering plants in the family Boraginaceae, commonly known as forget-me-nots.
